Holiday Rentals Spain News - Denia Alicante Costa Blanca
Las Rotas in Denia , backs on to Montgo and Cabo San Antoni and residents have reached a stalemate over what is going to happen to their neighbourhood .
In 2005 plans were drawn up to build another 250 homes in the area and it looked set to go ahead . Then it was thrown out after a petition with over 2000 signatures was presented to the council .
Now more than 400 do not want any more building while the residents association is looking for ways in which to reinstate the planning permission .
At the moment there is a ban on building swimming pools or refurbishing houses .
There are wonderful rural stretches still existing in the area and more building could endanger these .
