Buying An Electronic Cigarette - Things To Consider

Friday 14 August 2009 @ 9:24 am

It is a new industry that you have only probably just been told about. The electronic cigarette, that feels just like the real thing, but has none of the toxins that tabacco involves and its legal in all those places where smoking is banned….wow!!

If you are looking to buy an electronic cigarette for the first time, here are a few tips on what to consider.

1. Company

There are many suppliers out there online, some good, some bad. Be sure of the background of the company you are dealing with.

2. The parts

There are four main components to your electronic cigarette:

1. Battery

2. Atomizer

3. Charger

4. Refill cartridges

Lifespans of all these components vary drastically from supplier to supplier. Check the return policy on faulty parts or parts that dont live up to the advertising. Probably most importantly when using an electronic cigarette are the refill cartridges. Pick a reputable company where you know you are only getting nicotine in your refills with flovourings and that the refills last as long as they say. Personally, I was a 2 pack a day smoker and the Inlife Elite cartridge lasts me all day (even though they say they are equal to a pack.

Having tried most of the competition out there I chose to not only use the Inlife brand but also to promote and sell their products to make a little extra income. (See the business opportunity on the home page).

Within four months I was smoking for FREE and making a little extra on top..

The product range are reliable, stylish in design, and like an old advert in the UK for Wood stain I remember…..”It does exactly what it says on the tin”

MLM and The Power of 5 - A Successful Philosophy.

Wednesday 12 August 2009 @ 4:44 pm

There is much written about Multi Level Marketing, some good and some bad. The bad tends to focus on the failure of individuals with cetain products and companies that, frankly were never likely to succeed.

The first thing you must realise when faced with a MLM opportunity is that the ‘MLM’ partof it is just the business model the company has decided to use to get its product to market. So forget about the MLM and focus first on the product and its market.

Having considered the product and market and decided you are convinced both are sound then ask yourself if you are a sales guy, a people person or someone with enough contacts to build a team of 5.

Why 5?

Well I could have chosen a different number. But for me, there are only seven days in a week and with a team of five you will be working on 6 of them. So, if like me, you want a day of rest, then a team of five works best.

Now you must also understand that your team of 5 is a fluid beast. you will find that one or more of your team may slip by the wayside and will need to be replaced. We all start with excitement and good intentions but as with most things, not everything goes exactly to plan.

Choosing your Team of 5

For anyone who has considered a MLM before, this will sound familiar. but the best way to choose your team is to make a list of everyone you know. My personal twist on it is though, once you have made your initial list, whittle it down. if you start with 50, knock it down to 20, then 10, then 5. Consider all the traits of the people on your list….are they open-minded? Are they serious enough to want to earn? Do they have a network of contacts?

Keep your lists of 10, 20 & 50. These will be useful if you have to replace or move passed your best five choices.

Make the Presentation

You should present the opportunity to your top five in a meeting with all of them together. You are building a team who will work together, bounce off each other and support each others efforts. Invite them round, but keep it formal. Tell them that you are starting a new business venture and are looking to build a team of five people to work together and of all of the people you know…they are the five you would most like to work with and you would like them on your team. Most people respond well to flattery so they will be feeling good about them selves from the off.

Know Your Market

After the presentation, video etc, there will be questions. make sure you have done enough background work to be able to answer them. Know you back office website, the literature, the likely negative questions. Know the answers to the ‘pyramid scheme’ questions. have the facts at hand and then finally, introduce them to the Power of 5.

The Power of 5

The power of five is a six people team plan that every team member must commit to if they are going to join their team. If any member doesn’t want to commit, then you move onto the next on your shortlist of ten. If any member of your team fails to stick to the plan, you replace them. They may become an auxillary member of your downline but will be outside your Team of 5.

The rules of your team are simple:

1. Each member will follow your lead and produce a team of 5 that they will lead.

2. Each member will meet, assist and act as support for each of their team for at least 1 day a week. ( You can start to see where your 6 days are going to get filled)

3. Each member will meet with you on the sixth day (i.e. you meet with your team of 5 once a week and be available to assist each member of your team build his team of 5 for 1 day a week.)

As you team leader you need to have the answers for your team members. Eventually each member of your team will be his own team leader, so they need also do the research and knowledge gathering, but you as their team leader will be there first point of reference. If you dont know an answer….you go to your enroller or upline. (oops…there goes your day of rest!! You will be meeting with your upline team on day 7. ( It’s called being self-employed…its a 24/7 kind a thing, but you get to choose the hours you work and the hours you play)

Time Management

managing your time is key. Set your meetings well in advance and try at all costs to keep to your schedule. Expect your team to do the same and teach them to schedule early. A team member who consistently breaks a schedule and tries to change meetings is not serious enough about the business to be a member of your 5. Look to replace them. Otherwise you will be doing more work trying to fit in with them and they will not be worth it…..This is your team and you need to know when to cut someone.

This article is the starting point. Follow it in conjuction with a great product, a huge untapped market and you will succeed. But not only will YOU succeed, YOUR TEAM WILL SUCCEED. Teach well, be strong when you have to be and you will enhance the finances of those around you.

FDA Report Supports Benefits Of Electronic Cigarettes

Saturday 8 August 2009 @ 6:24 am

Despite the media hype over the recent report by the FDA on electronic cigarettes, the truth as ever, is in the detail.

On July 22, 2009 the FDA released the results of its own independent study of the electronic cigarette. The findings verify previous test results (1) which validate the electronic cigarette is up to 1,400 times safer than the leading brand of cigarettes. This is GREAT news for Electronic Cigarette users.
Previous studies on the e-cig (verified by the FDA Report) show that electronic cigarettes  only contain very low levels (8.2 ng/g) of Tobacco-Specific Nitrosamines versus 11,190 ng/g for the leading tobacco cigarette.

Perhaps even more important than the findings of the FDA is what the FDA did NOT find.
The test did not reveal any of the 60 other known carcinogens (shown below)2 that are found in traditional tobacco products nor stated any other new dangers or findings that could conclude that the electronic cigarette is dangerous.

Dr. Michael Siegel MD, Boston University states “The FDA and anti-smoking groups are comparing electronic cigarettes to a solution of spring-fresh Maine mountain stream water. What they need to compare electronic cigarettes to is something known as a Marlboro cigarette.”
Dr. Siegel continues, “In addition, recent research conducted by Dr. Murray Laugesen and Health New Zealand, LTD. reveals that the toxic emissions score for electronic cigarettes is much lower than that of conventional cigarettes.  In fact, the toxic emissions score - which is a score based on the levels of 59 priority toxicants was zero for electronic cigarettes.  In contrast, it was 126 for Marlboro and it was no lower than 100 for any brand of conventional cigarette tested.”

Spain To Extend Smoking Bans - Co-Incides With Inlife European Launch

Saturday 8 August 2009 @ 6:14 am

The central government this week announced that it was considering increasing enforcement of smoking bans in public places in light of new data on how the 2006 laws have been less that effect in many of the autonomous regions.

The health minister stated that smoking in public places was a public health issue and that whilst the 2006 laws may be responsible for the reduction of smokers by upt a million people, it was time to enforce a total ban to include bars and restaurants.

The announcement coincides with the launch of the leading brand of electronic cigarette in the USA, Inlife into countries of the European Union including Spain.

Electronic cigarettes are an alternative smoking device that simlulates the smoking experience and delivers vaporized nicotine to the user without any of the harmful carcinogens associated with smoking tabacco. With no ’secondary smoke issues’, electronic cigarettes are acceptable in all places where smoking tabacco is banned, giving the smoker the closest thing to having a smoke without affecting the people around them.

Inlife expect to launch their branded products into Europe in mid September.

The American company who offer a business opportunity in the form of a Multi level marketing distribution plan to individuals expect sales to be ‘brisk’ in light of the increasing social change across the world. Global sales of electronic cigarettes are forecast to achieve $50 billion over the next five years.
